Promote Longevity with Natural Results
A lot of practices use amalgam metal composites to fill teeth which requires cutting the tooth in order to fill it. We use white filling which only requires removing the decay and then bonding it to the tooth which strengthens it. The nano-particles of the composite filling used means no shrinkage or failure of the filling. It has great longevity and helps maintain good oral health.
Many clinicians use only one shade when repairing or re-shaping teeth. Dr Julia uses multiple shapes and an artistic touch to match the colour exactly to your natural teeth.
How Do White Composite Fillings Differ?
Silver fillings don’t have the same wear resistance as your natural teeth. At first you’ll be biting down on the natural part of your tooth which will gradually wear down causing you to bite on the filling, its shape puts stress on the natural tooth which can lead to fractures or breaks.
There’s also evidence that the mercury in silver fillings is bad for health and is linked to Alzheimers as well as being bad for the environment.
White composite filling doesn’t cost much more, has the same wear as natural teeth and is more beneficial to the patient.
