We are immensely proud of our imaging, X-Ray and Modelling facilities here at The Door W4. Radiographs and imaging are such a vital part of so many of the treatments that we offer here and we use the highest-spec machines and tools for quick diagnosis and detailed records.
High Spec Equipment. Same Day Results.
A lot of treatments and scans that would usually have to be outsourced can be done here. Same day, same location, all under one roof.
Our CBCT scanner is a vital piece of equipment in performing safe, accurate, efficient procedures. 3D scanning allows us to more accurately diagnose patient issues (vs 2D scanning). For example, a patient that comes in with tooth pain could not really have tooth pain at all, but a jaw fracture, which our CBCT scanner would pick up straight away. A 2D scanner would show that nothing is wrong but the pain would continue leading to eventual loss of teeth.
Our Intra-Oral scanner replaces the need for horrible moulds and offers our patients a much more comfortable experience, particularly great for patients with gag reflex.

Digital Intra-Oral Radiographs
- Large screen which offers more detail and better documentation
- Less radiation exposure, 70% less than analogue film!
- Immediate viewing (no waiting time)

Digital Radiographs – CBCT Scan
- 3D image of teeth, soft tissue, nerve pathways and bone
- Precise and clear data and imagery. We can track where the nerves are and see where’s safe to work on
- Less radiation exposure to the patient
- Better diagnostics and treatment plan
- 3D imagery always before wisdom tooth extraction to avoid nerve damage
- Used for planning for implants. Shows us how much bone is available.
- Can see jaw fractures which might be linked to tooth pain
- We are one of the 10% of practices in the UK that have this scanner!
Digital Intra-Oral Camera
- Can show detailed imagery such as cracks
- We can keep detailed records of our patient's teeth
Digital Scanner – 3 Shape Trios
- Replaces impression moulds in the mouth - no issues with gag reflex!
- Predictions for orthodontics – we are able to construct predicted before and afters from where the teeth will move to
- Predictions for veneers – choose shape, size, colour just from the digital photograph
- Predictions for deterioration (tooth decay risk)
