Our BodyTite treatment works by using radiofrequency technology to heat up fat allowing it to melt whilst shrinking loose skin to contour and shape the body. To ensure that you are as comfortable as possible, the treatment is carried out under a local anaesthetic by one of our experienced doctors.
Before the procedure one of our doctors will discuss any questions that you may have and mark out the treated area.
Once the anaesthetic has taken effect, a BodyTite probe is inserted under the skin through a cannula. You may feel some tugging as the cannula is inserted. The excess fat is softened with the cannula and then drained away.
After the treatment, you may experience some bruising, swelling, redness or tenderness for a couple of weeks, these symptoms are all normal and subside naturally.
No, BodyTite is not a weight-loss procedure. It’s a body contouring procedure designed to tighten the skin and remove excess fat after a patient has achieved their desired weight goal.
The results with BodyTite™ are expected to be permanent, but largely depend on the patient's lifestyle choices following the procedure. BodyTite™ will not prevent further weight gain if you follow a less than healthy diet and exercise regime. The treatment should be seen as encouraging to maintain a slimmer you.
It is usual for the skin to become slightly uneven by week 3 after the treatment. Most people see an immediate result but may take up to 9 months for the skin to appear smooth and look its best.
