Morpheus8 is the latest, non-surgical scientifically proven deep skin remodelling and skin resurfacing treatment. The treatment is effectively micro-needling combined with radio-frequency. The treatment itself works by delivering thermal energy using radiofrequency via small needles. How does it work?
The Morpheus8 Skin Tightening treatment uses micro-needling combined with radiofrequency. What conditions can Morpheus8 treat?
Morpheus8 can be used on any area of skin and body including the face, neck, abdomen, knees, and arms. The treatment is most commonly carried out on areas that are showing signs of ageing such as the face and neck.
Areas of the face and body that are showing signs of discolouration, stretch marks or acne scarring are also suitable for treatment.
What areas can be treated?
Morpheus8 can be used on any area of the body that shows signs of ageing. The most commonly treated areas include the lower face and neck, double chin and abdomen. Knees and thighs are also a popular treatment area. Areas of the face and body that are showing signs of discolouration, stretch marks or acne scarring are also suitable for treatment.
What happens during the treatment?
Before the procedure, one of our highly experienced therapists or doctors will apply a topical anaesthetic, which will numb the skin ready for the treatment.
During the treatment you may feel some heat and a mild pricking sensation to the skin where the hand piece is applied. The treatment will take approximately 1hour 30minutes.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending on your treatment regime and your skin concerns, we recommend having between 2-3 sessions.
For acne scarring, often a resurfacing treatment will be performed which may require 4 sessions for optimal results.
Is there any downtime?
There may be some mild downtime with the Morpheus8 treatment. It is normal to have red, peeling skin and some mild bruising after the treatment for around 5 days.
What do I do after my treatment?
It's very important to moisturise the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the ageing process.
